US Daily Insider’s editorial standards are designed to protect accuracy, independence, fairness and reader trust while allowing the publication to move quickly on developing news.

Accuracy and Verification

Writers and editors should verify material facts before publication. When a fact cannot be independently confirmed, the story should attribute it to the source and avoid presenting it as established fact.

Sources and Attribution

We prefer identifiable, primary and on-the-record sources whenever practical. Reports from other publications are attributed. Anonymous sourcing should be used only when the information is newsworthy and the source has a credible reason for confidentiality.

Headlines, Images and Context

Headlines may be energetic, but they should remain supportable by the article. Images, captions and social cards should not materially misrepresent the event or subject being covered.

News, Analysis and Opinion

Straight reporting should distinguish fact from interpretation. Analysis may draw conclusions from reported facts and context. Opinion and commentary should be clearly identified.

Independence and Conflicts

Editorial judgments are not sold to advertisers, sponsors or commercial partners. Writers and editors should disclose material relationships or conflicts that could reasonably affect reader understanding.

Corrections and Updates

Privacy, Dignity and Harm

We weigh public interest against unnecessary intrusion, particularly when covering private individuals, children, victims, grief, health issues or traumatic events.
